Hiring the Meeting House

Please note: We are currently unable to take new long-term bookings for the foreseeable future and although we have some occasional space for one off events it is quite rare.

Wakefield Meeting House is a popular and very well used venue close to the centre of Wakefield. 

Facilities:

Ground floor

  • Entrance hall and stairs with stair lift – stair lift key available on request.
  • Two large rooms connected by sliding doors to convert them into one large space, both rooms furnished with stacking tables and chairs. One room has a small kitchen area with counter and cupboards and a sink unit with kettle and electric water heater. There are supplies of mugs, plates and cutlery.
  • Ladies and gents toilets with a separate accessible toilet.
  • Access to large enclosed garden area with grass and patio.

First floor

  • Library area with easy chairs and a low table.
  • Large meeting room with assorted upright and easy chairs.
  • Wifi available throughout the building.
  • Limited unsecured storage space for regular users.

Bookings:

All bookings are subject to cancellation with appropriate notice if the Meeting House is needed by the Quakers.

Charges:

The current charge is £30 per three hour session.  Charges are subject to alteration with appropriate notice.
